OPM Artists to Perform Hotdog Songs in Manila Heritage Sites in Online Concert

Feeling nostalgic about Manila? Relive the many ways in which the city pulls at your heartstrings with “Hinahanap-hanap Kita Manila: The Manila Heritage Concert”. The online concert, which will be held on December 13, gathers today’s biggest OPM acts for a day of music and heritage as they perform hits from the OPM band Hotdog, who popularized the iconic 70s hit “Manila”.

Performing artists

The virtual concert will be streamed via Facebook Live and will feature the hottest names in the music industry including Raymund Marasigan, Gary Valenciano, Armi Millare of UDD, Blaster Salonga from IV of Spades, Ebe Dancel, Yeng Constantino, Rubber Inc., Bras Pas Pas Pas, Bea Lorenzo, Nicole Laurel Asensio, and Bing Austria.

Heritage sites as venues

Intramuros will serve as one of the venues for the concert.

Apart from showcasing Filipino artistry, the tribute also aims to revitalize the interest in Manila’s heritage sites. The artists will be performing in various historic attractions, such as the Manila City Hall, Jones Bridge, Luneta Park,  Kartilya ng Katipunan, Lagusnilad, Intramuros,  Paco Park, Museo Pambata, and National Planetarium.

A Facebook post by the National Parks Development Committee also says that apart from Hotdog, Hinahanap-hanap Kita Manila also pays tribute to front liners who are at forefront of the fight against the pandemic.

The tribute concert is organized by Intramuros Administration, National Parks Development Committee and Nayong Pilipino Foundation, and presented by Tourism Promotions Board Philippines, Juan Care Foundation Inc., and Viva Music Publishing Inc.
