Watch Free Online Concerts and Help Our Kababayan Fight COVID-19

Help our kababayan in this trying time by watching free concerts online! Bayanihan Musikan is a campaign that provides a free online concert series via Facebook Live. It is made possible by National Artist Ryan Cayabyab, together with Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP). The said campaign was not only created to entertain us during the Enhanced Community Quarantine, but also to serve as a way to help poor communities around Metro Manila.

As music artists stream their concerts on their Facebook accounts, they also encourage viewers to donate for poor urban communities who are affected by COVID-19. Donations are used to purchase medical and health supplies, plus “Manna Packs” containing essential food supplies like rice and munggo. Besides giving rations and supplies, Bayanihan Musikahan is also planning to take their aid to the next level by creating barangay quarantine spaces that can be used to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Outpouring of donations

All donations are distributed with the help of other organization partners such as Caritas Manila, Likhaan, and Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Pamilyang Pantawid. So far since its first run last March 20, the Bayanihan campaign already gathered a total of P45,600,602.09 as of April 15, 2020. It continues to increase as more and more artists pledge to help.

Performing artists

The concert series is already running for weeks now and keeps on featuring the hottest artists from the OPM scene. Popular OPM stars who joined Bayanihan Musikahan last March and performed from their homes include Sponge Cola, Ebe Dancel, Martin Nievera, Morisette, Gloc-9, and Ice Seguerra. Rising artists Tim Pavino, Eamarie Gilayo, and Chud Festejo also performed for the campaign.

This April, the series continued with Color It Red vocalist Cookie Chua, acoustic sensation Jireh Lim, Raymond Marasigan of Sandwich, maestro composer Louie Ocampo, and world-class performers like Lea Salonga, Gary V, and Jed Madela. In the coming weeks, KZ tandingan and Kris Lawrence will also give you a one-of-a kind concert experience right in the comfort of your own home.

Watch all live stream concerts of scheduled artists through their own Facebook page or through the official Facebook page of Bayanihan Musikahan (https://www.facebook.com/bayanihanmusikahan). Schedules and lineup of artists who will perform in the next few days and weeks are posted on the said Facebook page.
