Sinulog Festival 2020 is almost here!
Sinulog Festival is arguably the most famous festival in Visayas, drawing millions of tourists each year. The festival celebrates the Santo Niño de Cebú, the statue of Jesus given by Ferdinand Magellan to Rajah Humabon in 1521. The highlight of the event is the Grand Parade, a whole-day procession that features street dancers in vibrant costumes, holding baby Jesus’ statue.
This year, the festival is held from January 3 to February 3. Similar to previous years, the parade starts at the Basilica Minore Del Santo Nino in Cebu City. Visitors can expect fun booths, cultural events, and sundown-to-dawn street parties.
